The children have grown up and we have now decided to share our weekend paradise with holiday guests. We have freshly renovated the living areas and furnished them for holiday guests. Our first guests arrived in July 2017. Despite the long history of the house, the refurbishment means we can offer you every comfort you need for a relaxing holiday. In order to express this comfort, we have decided to have the holiday home objectively evaluated by the DTV classification. We are very proud, because the house was awarded the top rating - 5 stars - in March 2018.The house (140 m²) is suitable for a maximum of 6 people and has 3 bedrooms for 2 people each: Two master bedrooms with a double bed and a children's bedroom with a bunk bed. Two bathrooms with WC and shower, washing machine and a separate Finnish salt stone sauna. Indoor fireplace in the living room, fully equipped kitchen, balcony with a view of the garden, party cellar, terrace with outdoor fireplace and goldfish pond with water cascades, two other ponds, tree house, campfire site and a stream are some of our guests' favourite highlights. Fast Wi-Fi is available to our guests free of charge.Our facilities:Living room:Cosiness and comfort in the living room with a seating area, indoor fireplace, UHD TV with Smart TV (with internet connection), DVD player and a stereo system. Here you can spend relaxing evenings in a cosy atmosphere by the open fire and candlelight. The spacious dining area has access to the balcony on the south side of the house with another dining table. Our guests have access to free high-speed Wi-Fi.Kitchen:The small but fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for cooking and baking. Refrigerator, dishwasher, ceramic hob, extractor fan, oven, coffee machine, coffee grinder, kettle, toaster, food processor, spices and tea towels. An additional fridge/freezer is available in the cellar.1st bedroom:Bedroom with a double bed (180cm x 200 cm) and 2 wardrobes. In the display cabinet you will find a collection of Readers Digest books for cosy reading evenings. The window is fitted with an insect screen.2nd bedroom:Bedroom with a double bed (180cm x 200 cm), satellite TV with Smart TV function, wardrobe, changing unit and reading chair. The bookshelf contains a collection of books and games for young and old. The window is equipped with an insect screen. Underfloor heating is also available.3rd bedroom - children's bedroom:Children's bedroom with a bunk bed and a wardrobe. The bunk bed consists of two beds measuring 90cm x 200 cm. On both beds are bookshelves with selected children's books and a mobile phone speaker. The window is fitted with an insect screen.1st bathroom:On the upper floor there is a bathroom with shower, washbasin, hairdryer and WC. There is also underfloor heating in the bathroom.2nd bathroom:The second bathroom on the ground floor was completely renovated in 2019 and has a large rain shower, WC, washbasin and washing machine.Finnish salt stone saunaRelax in a cosy salt stone sauna for 6 people. From the anteroom you can go directly into the garden or into the house.Party room:The party room in the basement with an illuminated bar counter, fridge, pull-out sofa bed, stereo system, disco ball, pull-out table for 8 people, board games, shoe cupboard, wood-burning stove and benches offers a pleasant atmosphere for cosy get-togethers.Water:The tap water comes from the hotel's own water well with very good Vogelsberg drinking water, which is of course tested annually for purity.Heating:The entire house is heated by a central gas heating system. In addition, the indoor fireplace in the living room sufficiently heats the entire upper floor.Barbecue on the terrace and campfire:On the covered terrace with outdoor fireplace, you can spend cosy evenings barbecuing while listening to the rippling of the water cascades. For romantic evenings, there is a campfire site with benches and an adjacent dining area.Garden:The 6000m² fenced plot in the Gonterskirchen weekend area is surrounded by woodland and a picturesque stream. In addition to two ponds with carp and roach fish, there is a small goldfish pond with cascading waterfalls in the rock garden next to the house.Dogs are especially welcome here! Would you like to rent a holiday home with a dog? Then you've come to the right place! We make sure that your pets feel at home with us and have a food bowl, dog bed and dog towels available. We have completely fenced and secured the garden. The fence consists partly of a hunter's fence to the forest path, a solid wire fence to the neighbour from the right and a plank fence, which is secured with a solid wire fence on the other two sides. And what can you do here? Relaxing in the garden, watching birds, dragonflies, carp, newts, salamanders and frogs. Look at the beautiful starry sky at night when the sky is clear, barbecue on the terrace and make bread on a stick at the campfire. The hiking trails start right at the house. You can also take a trip to the Hohenrodskopf: Many beautiful hiking routes start here, you can also discover the summer toboggan run and the climbing forest and in winter you can plan downhill skiing and especially cross-country skiing. The small towns of Laubach, Lich, Grünberg, Schotten and Hungen are also well worth a visit. The Vulkanradweg and Südbahnradweg cycle paths in the Vogelsberg offer around 145 km of traffic-free cycle paths along old railway lines.
