The Suite is a spacious, bright, and comfortable space, ideal for a stay in the Swiss Jura. With a large double bed and three single beds, it can accommodate up to five people in a warm and natural atmosphere. Perfect for families or small groups looking for a relaxing break in the countryside. You also have access to a fully equipped private kitchen, so you can prepare your own meals. Eco-friendly accommodation with bohemian charm The entire interior has been designed using natural materials: raw wood, recycled pallets, and bohemian decor create a soft, simple, and inspiring atmosphere. The original, handcrafted furniture reflects the ecological values of our Eco-chalet. Nature and family accommodation in Saint-Ursanne - Swiss Jura Le Chalet du Bel'Oiseau is a peaceful and flexible accommodation option, nestled between forest, river, and medieval town, perfect for family vacations, group stays, or equestrian getaways. It is at the far end of Chemin du Bel'Oiseau and offers an ideal setting for children. A small stream adds charm to this idyllic and bucolic place. It is a ten-minute walk from the station along a pathway. The chalet offers two living areas - the Suite and the Cocoon - which may be rented either jointly or separately. Each has five beds, a bathroom and a large balcony. The Suite also has a kitchen; the Cocon has a little kitchen. The chalet is open year-round. Due to its large accommodation capacity, it is ideal for families and friends for leisure activities. The Doubs and its nature reserve are a three-minute walk away. The town of St-Ursanne is the starting point for numerous hikes. Many activities await you in the vicinity: swimming, treasure hunting by canoe, bike rental, archery, guided city tour, art exhibitions, swing golf... Guests can even arrive on horseback and their mounts will be taken care of by a local farmer. We look forward to welcoming you here! Stables Your horses can be stabled with a farmer 1.5km from the chalet. Price per horse/night CHF 30 including stable, water, hay and straw. History of the venue Formerly the barn of a house called "Paquaoile", the venue was first renovated as a Montessori school. The school operated for three years before being forced to close due to lack of official support. We quickly thought of offering it as accommodation for outside visitors. Today, we are delighted that we made this decision: it is an ideal place to come and unwind while enjoying what the region has to offer. Our values: High-quality construction, built with noble materials and with the greatest respect for nature. We only use natural cleaning products that are mostly homemade. When it comes to mealtimes, we offer local produce and homemade bread, for which we mainly use organic flour. Our aim is to give you the warmest possible welcome and do everything in our power to ensure that your stay is enjoyable and that you leave feeling rested and refreshed. Breakfast on request, CHF 10 per person per night Discounts for families The chalet can be rented entirely (Le Cocon + La Suite rooms, one kitchen, one little kitchen, two bathrooms) for 4-10 people. Passenger access By train: From Biel/BIenne, change at Delémont and take the S3 towards Porrentruy, exit at St-Ursanne. From Basel the S3 runs directly to St-Ursanne. Once there, follow the small brown Eco-Chalet signs, take the road towards the Viaduct (railway bridge), go down the small path on your right next to the bridge to the cantonal road, cross the pedestrian crossing to the intersection and turn left. The Eco-Chalet is located at the end of Chemin du Bel'Oiseau. By car: exit around the A16 St-Ursanne motorway. At the first roundabout take the third exit then in front of the chapel turn left on Chemin du Bel'Oiseau street, pass in front of the football field, under the Viaduct and continue until the end and there you are: it's the last house.
