This beautiful low mountain range landscape inspired the Brothers Grimm in the 1820s to create their world-famous children's and house fairy tales. The model for Little Red Riding Hood, for example, was the young Schwalm women with their red caps in the typical Schwalm costume. It was not for nothing that the Brothers Grimm declared this diverse region with its clear lakes, meandering meadow streams, wildly romantic hills and mysterious forests to be their home. Even today, there are still many reminders of the two brothers. Whether it's the Frau Holle pond on the Hoher Meißner, the Snow White village of Bergfreiheit or the Grimm Museum in Kassel, the Knüll Wildlife Park is just a short walk away. After about 1 km you can feed free-roaming deer or watch the bears sunbathing. With the seven dwarves in the Dwarf Kingdom The Dwarf Kingdom is a large indoor playroom with endless play options for all ages. The room is accessible from the outside as well as from the inside :0) Young and old can romp and play to their heart's content here. You can compete at the table football table or bravely scale the climbing wall. You can slide or swing, crawl through tunnels or dive into the ball pool... or... or... The best thing to do is to explore the Dwarf Kingdom for yourself!
