A log cabin located within an area of four separate cabins next to the Porttikallio cross-country skiing center. A 2.5 km "Mummolatu" trail circles the cabin area and connects to the Porttikallio trail network. The skiing center offers snowmaking for the trails when needed, a lit trail, biathlon shooting targets, a grill shelter available for everyone (200 m), and an observation tower with a "fire shelter" along a guided educational nature trail 600 m away (firewood available at the cabin). 170 km northwest of Helsinki. A dry land log cabin built in 2011; combined kitchen/living room, 2 bedrooms each with 2 beds, sauna (wood-burning stove), bathroom with 2 showers, dressing room, composting toilet, and shower. 2 lofts with a total of 4 mattresses. Underfloor heating in the toilet and wash/dressing room. Air source heat pump with heating and cooling functions.
