In La Tzoumaz there is the Trail of the Senses at an altitude of 1,700 metres, with 12 sensory stations and an exhibition on the regional flora and fauna. Pleasant walks, e.g. sections of the typical Valais bisses (bisses) waterways. The Bisse de Saxon leads directly past the chalet and on via Nendaz to Vercorin. Total trail network around 150 km. Interesting excursion possibilities due to the location in the border triangle Switzerland - Italy - France, e.g. with the Mont Blanc Express to Chamonix, or over the Great St. Bernard Pass into the Italian Aosta Valley.
