From the chalet there are many possibilities, such as hiking, mountaineering, mountain biking. Also climbing, paragliding, tennis, golf (in Verbier) or fishing. In La Tzoumaz there is the 'Path of the Senses' with 12 sensory stations and a nature exhibition. Gentle walks, e.g. along sections of the typical Valais 'Bisses' (irrigation channels). The Bisse de Saxon leads directly past the chalet and on via Nendaz to Vercorin. The network of paths covers around 150 kilometres. Interesting excursion possibilities due to the location in the border triangle Switzerland - Italy - France, e.g. with the Mont Blanc Express to Chamonix, or over the Great St. Bernard Pass into the Italian Aosta Valley. The bathing lake 'Les Iles' near Sion is approx. 20 minutes by car. Sion with its winding old town also offers plenty of variety for shopping and cultural experiences.
