The two-storey villa is located by the sea and is surrounded by its own private garden and countryside. Next door is the best fish restaurant, 'Il Mulino', and to the left is the bar 'La Timpa', famous for Aunt Tanina's homemade granita. There is a free platform and descent to the sea in front of the house. Going up to the garden, you will find outdoor showers and another kitchen with a barbecue and, continuing into the garden, you can immerse yourself in 5,000 square metres of countryside with imense citrus groves and loquat treestwo-storey villa divided as follows: on the ground floor there is a bedroom with a bunk bed, a bathroom and laundry room. On the first floor there is a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and a bedroom with a double bed, a fan and a very large wardrobe.In another room is the living room with a sofa bed and an adjoining kitchen with dishwasher, microwave oven, a television and a bathroom with shower. There is also an outdoor kitchen with an old stone oven.The accommodation is surrounded by meadows, terraces and 5000 square metres of countryside stretching along the Timpa nature reserve.3 kitchens (2 outside,1 inside),antique stone oven, outdoor and indoor showers; 2 bedrooms,2 bathrooms, 1 living room.The fishing village of Santa Maria la Scala is to this day an uncontaminated village that continues to preserve the natural and wild characteristics typical of La Timpa, a majestic hill that looks out over both Etna and the sea, culminating in a breathtaking panorama that reaches as far as the Calabrian coast. Poetic, the fishermen walk at dawn right in front of the house as they display and sell their fresh catch of the day. Spectacular and romantic, the view of the night lamps that illuminate the sea at night. The location of the house is strategic as it overlooks several public descents to the sea and a public solarium with sun loungers for a fee and free showers. Delicious, fresh cocktails are served at the solarium bar, which is also open at night.But if you choose to take a trip one morning, you can opt for Taormina, the volcano Mount Etna or even Syracuse, where, until the end of June, you can watch Greek tragedies in the ancient Greek Theatre. The villa is 10 minutes from Acireale, where I recommend you admire the architectural beauty of the Duomo and the church of San Sebastiano.The villa is totally surrounded by greenery, with its terraces of orange and medlar trees along the neutral reserve 'La Timpa', a unique feature that makes the guest accommodation quiet and relaxing. After swimming in the crystal-clear waters in front of the house, you can take a refreshing shower at home or in the garden while admiring the view of the harbour and Mount Etna. You can then relax on the lawn while sipping an excellent wine. Next to the house is a renowned restaurant with delicious fish, 'Il Mulino', and a few metres away, one of the best Sicilian granitas, 2 other restaurants and a pizzeria on the harbour.If you are a music lover, from July to August, usually on Tuesdays and Fridays, you can listen to rock, country or blues concerts in the solarium located a couple of metres from the house. Especially recommended is the feast of the Madonna of Santa Maria la Scala on the last Sunday of August, a picturesque event of great tourist attraction characterised by beautiful fireworks over the harbour, boat races, the procession of the Madonnina and sea games.I am waiting for you to taste Tanina's homemade granita, so good that it attracts bathers from Taormina, Acitrezza and Acicastello, who dock their boats at the port of Santa Maria La Scala. The small fishing village has a small emporium offering a selection of items. You can have lunch at the fish restaurant Trattoria Scalo Grande which is delicious, you must also go to Trattoria La Timpa to try the best Granita in Catania that Tanina makes. There is a tourist bus that will take you to Acireale (check the bus timetable on the notice board next to the little church), if you are there at midday you will hear the beautiful church bells, you can if you like head to the train station to catch a train to Catania or Taormina, or walk back to Santa Maria La Scala along the beautiful Timpa nature trail (downhill from Acireale) with its beautiful sea views.
