There is no shortage of historical and monumental attractions: Sassari, with its stupendous historic centre; Castelsardo, with its splendid fortified village or even Osilo with its thirteenth-century Malaspina Castle. There are also many 'taste itineraries' to taste the typical Sardinian specialities, fruit of the wisdom of fishermen, shepherds and farmers. About 3 kilometres away from the Casteldoria Thermal Baths, La Ciaccia is also the ideal place to take thermal cures and at the same time enjoy a relaxing holiday by the sea. In the neighbouring villages, there is no shortage of festivals and popular celebrations, just wander around and there are all kinds. In August, you can enjoy events such as the summer carnival in Castelsardo and Valledoria or the wonderful 'Candelieri' descent in Sassari, a Unesco World Heritage site.
